2 Nudey Rudeys

Lindy came over the other day with Sophie and Aimee and they all played together so nicely.....it was a really sunny day so we spent the morning outside and of course, Jett and Aimee had to strip off! They were being so cute running around together....here's a photo of them looking under 'Peggy' (the tree is called a Weeping Pagoda so we've called it Peggy????) for the cat....how cute are they with their little bums??

16 December 2008 (Yep, it was my birthday......what more could I ask for than Jett playing nicely with his cousins?)

Baby Monkey

When Ollie was born, Mum and Dad gave him a monkey suit which Mum had made (she also made one for Jett, Lijey and Aimee). I tried it on him for the first time today and it's still a tiny bit big but I just had to take a photo of the little man - too cute! He's nearly 4 months old and a complete joy.....he's a happy little thing - whenever he laughs he gets the hiccups, he sleeps 11 hours straight at night, feeds well and is growing reeeally quickly! His latest thing is blowing raspberries alllllll the time - it's gorgeous - we'll be in the car driving along and all I can hear is his raspberries (his top is always soaked from it). He's also getting ready to roll from back to front......he twists his head right around and lies on his side...it won't be long before the little man is mobile. Please don't grow up too fast baby Ollie!

Cardboard box fun

Last week end (5th December) we went to Bright so Jimmy could race in the Tour of Bright - it was the perfect race for him with lot of hills and he was so fit - poor Jimmy crashed out on the first day and broke his collarbone AGAIN! He was coming 5th too!

The boys had a great week end - Jett loved getting attention from so many people (Fi, Scotty, Maggie - his new love, Dale, Fi, Dave and Kris J) and one night we were all having dinner together when I decided to cut up a cardboard box for Jett's entertainment....it proved to be a big hit, especially because Jett got so many laughs (he looooves being silly and making people laugh)...check this out.....

Jett's first pet

Jett has just started getting into beetles, spiders (eeek), ants and other creepy crawlies! This morning we found a lady beetle and he was desperate to have it on his hand and watch it crawl up his arm - he got a bit upset when it fell off or flew away so we had to keep looking for the poor little beetle.......

Playing together.......??

The other night, we were all playing trains before the boys went to bed (we do this just about every night!) when Jett wanted to share his trains with Ollie (he's quite a generous little kid) and they were piled high on his little tummy! I had to ask Jett to stop before Ollie got squashed.......

PS Ignore the scary looking Mummy in the photo!

Our boys...

Here's a couple of recent photos of the boys that say so much about them - the one of Jett helping mow the lawn is quite typical of him.....he loves big, loud machinery and in this case, it's the lawn mower! We can't do anything around the house with lawn mowers, whipper snippers, vacuum cleaners, beaters etc without him coming along to help out - very cute (but also makes things sooo much slower - ha).

The other photo is a recent one of Jett and Ollie - Jett adores Ollie and you can see that in the photo. He has never done anything to hurt him (except maybe kick him in the head when he's been trying to get a bit too close) but he really is good to his baby brother! You can tell Ollie loves Jett - when he hears or see Jett, his little face lights up.....he smiles a big gummy smile and gets these gorgeous smile lines around his eyes - he brings meaning to the term 'smiling with his eyes'. We feel extremely lucky to have our 2 healthy little boys and (touch wood) both of them have been really great sleepers.....a typical night for Ollie is to go down around 7pm and then wake me for a drink around 4-5am......I'll often stay up after this feed and go for a walk which is such a nice way to start the day! There are baby swans (signets) down at the lake at the moment and I love to see how they're growing :)

Holiday in Noosa

We've just come back from 5 nights up in Noosa (my favourite holiday destination) and it was great fun! Jett was hard work some of the time - he was in a constant state of tiredness from waking at 5am every day (4am QLD time!) which we found reeeally hard but we really did have a great time.....we swam heaps, ate lots of ice cream from Massimo's, went to Eumundi markets and just spent lots of time relaxing at our apartment (French Quarter Resort on Hastings Street).

Jett loved flying on the aeroplane - I get a bit nervous on take off when the plane bumps around but Jett was fine - he just looked out the window and loved seeing all the little treats we had bought him to entertain him on the plane (a new train, textas, crayons, colouring-in etc). He loved swimming at the beach and also in the resort pool - he has absolutely no fear and unfortunately jumps into the water regardless of whether we're there to catch him!

Ollie was really good on holidays - he hadn't slept in a port-a-cot before but he slept beautifully and was happily carted around the place in his pram and Baby Bjorn. He tried swimming in the pool which he didn't seem to mind...he loves his bath so I was pretty sure he'd be OK about swimming.

On the day we came home from Noosa we made a quick stop to DFO at Brisbane Airport.....when we came back to our car to drive to the Domestic Terminal we found our car battery was flat - Jett had turned the headlights on, unbeknownst to us! It was the biggest stress....fortunately the car hire people came out to us and charged the battery and we made it to the JetStar terminal on time - phew!

Here's a photo of all of us on our last night, 10 November.....

Big Boys Toys....

On Sunday, Mummy and Daddy took Ollie and I to the Canberra Airport Open Day. It was so much fun - there were heaps of aeroplanes there and I even got to sit in some (in the cockpit)! There was also jumping castles and aeroplane crafty things - a lady gave me a little aeroplane made out of balsa wood that I could build :)

Here's a photo of me sitting in one of the aeroplanes....

Are we alike?

Here's a couple of photos of Ollie and I at exactly the same age (2 months) - these photos are of our first smiles caught on film.....do we look alike?

Introducing Oliver (Ollie) Graham Barker

My little brother arrived nearly 1 month ago on 16 August 2008 and I love him! Mummy and Daddy had an awful feeling I might get a bit jealous when he arrived but they have nothing to worry about....I love him to bits and kiss and cuddle him whenever I can. When he was born he was 3.7kgs (8'3") and 52.5cm long. Mummy had a great birth.....1 hour 20 mins from start to finish and she says it wasn't too bad at all.

Here's me meeting Ollie in hospital.....

Very pretty???

I love lipstick! I saw Nanny putting it on once and asked to have some....now, whenever Mummy's putting some on, she puts some on me. Here's a photo of me putting it on all by myself.....

Tin Hare Train Ride

Yesterday afternoon Mummy and Daddy took me to Kingston Railway Station for a train ride.....it was great fun! I'm a boy that doesn't like to sit still for long and I love to run but yesterday for the 30 minutes I was on the train, I was mesmorised. It was excellent - Mummy and Daddy found it very relaxing and I loved just looking out my window.

I'm not a big fan of smiling in photos but I promise....it was super fun :)

My little brother....

Yesterday Mummy, Daddy, Nanny, Poppy and I went to meet Ollie via 3D ultrasound - it was incredible! We could see everything.....we saw his hands (with extra long fingers), a big 59mm long foot, a little mouth that looked exactly like mine (which he kept opening and closing), and of course......a willy and other boy bits!!

Nanny and Poppy were amazed at the detail we could see and that we could actually see a family resemblance already......

Week End Away

Last week end Mummy, Daddy and I went to Cootamundra so Daddy could go in a bike race. It was 2 days of racing and we had lots of fun at Cootamundra.....it's a really nice town. Mummy got a tummy bug on the Sunday (on Mothers Day!!!) which wasn't very nice but Daddy had fun racing and did really well :)

Here's a photo of our car just before we left to come home on Sunday.....everyone thought it was funny having my little bike on the bike rack with Daddy's!

This was Sunday 11 May.....

My baby brother.....

Mummy doesn't like putting photos of herself on my blog very often but we had to include this one - Mummy's nearly 5 1/2 months pregnant with my little brother! He's due to be born in August this year and I think I'm looking forward to it. I'm not looking forward to having to share the attention I've had all to myself until now but it will be fun to have a little brother to wrestle and share my toys with. I point to Mummy's tummy and say 'baby'. I think his name might be Oliver Graham......I think the name Ollie sounds cute!!

Mummy apologises for the bad photo :)

I love to help Daddy!

Here's a photo of me helping Daddy take the rubbish out today - my favourite saying at the moment is 'Very strong boy' and I was saying this as I was lifting a very heavy garbage bag!

I've also just moved into my big boys bed (2 nights ago) and things have been a bit hard on Mummy and Daddy.....I've been waking up in the night, wanting some comfort so Daddy lies back down with me until I fall asleep (they're hoping this doesn't last too long!)

My Birthday Party

I had my birthday party on the week end and it was so much fun! I had 9 little friends come along (cousin Aimee and Sophie, Nick and Jake, Sofie and Paige, Phoebe and Leah and Alex) and lots of grown up friends too and of course my Auntie's Uncles, Nanny's, Poppy's and Grandma.

We had lots of party food (no lollies or chips which Mummy and Daddy were happy about) and the BEST cake ever made by Auntie Munda! She knows how much I love Thomas the Tank Engine and my cake looked just like him.

The party was near a playground so we spent 2 hours playing at the playground, eating yummy food and opening LOTS of very cool presents - I got lots and lots of trucks, tractors and cars and the most amazing bike called a Run-Bike from Auntie Fi and Uncle Scotty.....it's like a normal bike but it doesn't have any pedals....it teaches me to balance on a bike!

Here are a couple of photos of me and the very special Thomas cake.....12 April 2008

Birthday Invite......

Mummy and Daddy have been organising my 2nd Birthday party which is coming up in April and we've just received the coolest invitation which James Peek designed (James is my friend Alex's Daddy).

How cool is this?

Jett and Aimee

This is me and my cousin Aimee - she's 4 months older than me and we have so much fun together! I love going to play at her house - they have the BEST backyard with a swing set, trampoline, cars and bikes, chickens and their latest addition is some baby bunnies! This photo was taken on 22 March 2008.....I played at their house while Mummy and Auntie Fi took Aimee's big sister Sophie, shopping for her birthday.

Aimee and I go to the same playgroup together at Mummy's old church which is heaps of fun......they have so many toys to play with at playgroup and we always do some fun craft (which Mummy probably enjoys more than I do).

Cheeky Monkey

Ever since I was born, Mummy and Daddy have called me 'their little monkey' or 'cheeky monkey' - in this photo you can see why! I have so many cheeky faces that I pull and in this one I was making a monkey noise 'ooh ooh ah ah' with the arms and everything.

I was doing some painting outside on a hot day and was entertaining Mummy with my funny faces.....this photo was on 16 March 08

Learning to pedal.....

I'm learning to ride my bike at the moment but I get a bit frustrated with the pedals - I push my bike along with my feet but I have trouble pushing down on the pedals with my little legs.

Here I am on 18 March 2008....we were out the front of our house - we have a big drive way that's on a bit of a slope......I loooove racing down the hill

Auntie Fi and Uncle Scotty

Here's my Auntie Fi and Uncle Scotty - this is such a cool photo, we just had to put it up on my blog! Auntie Fi and Uncle Scotty ran the Summer Criterium this year and last night was the final race - they were given this garden bike that they're sitting on as a Thank You present for all their efforts.......I feel very proud of them!

My talking is really coming along and this morning as Mummy was taking me to school I kept saying "Fi's car, Scott's car, Fi's bike, Scott's bike"......I love talking about them (I love seeing them even more though)!

Here they are on 12 March 2008.....

Kangaroo's

A couple of week ends ago Mummy and Daddy took me to Murramarang down the coast - Daddy had a conference down there that he was presenting at. There were lots of kangaroo's down there that I got to pat but there was one in particular that I 'bonded' with - he was deaf and blind. There was also a younger kangaroo that hung around our cabin but it wasn't as friendly - it got a bit sick of me patting it one day and gave me a little box around the ears! Mummy and Daddy had such a laugh when I discovered the kangaroos - it was just after my breakfast and I was riding my bike.....Mummy and Daddy heard me giggling heaps and they found me talking to the kangaroo's!
I love showing off my excellent words and naming body parts on anything that moves - in one of these photos I'm pointing to the kanga's ear and saying 'ear'......along with 'eye', 'nose' and 'ta-il' (I pronounce this as 2 syllables)!

Fi and Scotty spent a night with us down the coast but none of us slept very well that night - I learnt to climb out of my port-a-cot and decided to jump into Fi and Scotty's bed in the middle of the night.

These photos were taken on 16 February 2008

My Daddy.......the cyclist??

My Daddy has been doing a lot of cycling this Summer, as a bit of a break from running injuries and also because he's absolutely LOVING it! He's been doing the crits every Wednesday night that Fi and Scotty run and he's doing so well.......he's moving up in the grades because he's so strong - each week he's up the front of the bunch doing heaps of work.

I haven't been to the crits for a few weeks because I go to Nanny and Poppy's house to play but here's a photo of Daddy racing on 30 January 2008.....Daddy's wearing the red jersey on the left side of the photo.

Australia Day 2008

Mummy, Daddy and I went to the coast with Auntie Fi and Uncle Scott for the Australia Day week end. We went to Culburra Beach for 2 nights which was so much fun. Here's a photo of me at the most beautiful beach in the world - Callala Beach. I hadn't been to the beach for a while and I was a bit unsure of the sand and sea (Mummy and Daddy need to take me to the beach more!!).

My artistic side......

Mummy and Daddy are very excited because I'm starting to become more 'artistic'. We do painting and drawing at home and now I love playing with play-doh too - I got some for Christmas and I play with it every day.....and I don't even eat it!

Here's a video of me playing with play-doh on 7 January 08 - Mummy and Daddy were trying to get me to do my funny laugh which you can hear on the video....

Christmas 2007

I had my best Christmas ever in 2007! It was so much fun - I got the hang of opening presents very quickly. Mummy and Daddy woke me up at 8 (can you believe it??) and we all opened some presents together then we went to church and I played with all my cousins up the back. Then we went to Nanny and Poppy's for more present opening, home for a sleep and then back to Nanny and Poppy's for Christmas dinner and heaps more present opening.

Normally when Poppy's around I don't leave his side but I was so busy playing with my cousins on Christmas Day that I only gave him a few quick cuddles :)

This first photo of me when I just got up.....I wasn't very happy at being woken up.
